An armed group who calls themselves “supporters of the Islamic Caliphate” executed 100 civilians and Syrian soldiers by shooting them in the head in Khan al-Asal, Aleppo.

Aleppo witnessed violent and brutal clashes, which ultimately led to the control over the town by the armed Syrian opposition.

Witnesses in Khan al-Asal reported that more than 150 soldiers were killed on Monday and Tuesday inside and around the town.

Activists on Facebook circulated a picture from “al-Manara” website affiliated to al-Qaeda showing the Syrian soldiers lying down on the ground moments before terrorists of the so-called “supporters of the Islamic Caliphate” had executed them in Khan al-Asal in Aleppo.

The picture showed a soldier holding the “V” sign of victory, expressing what all the soldiers were feeling; victory is coming despite the monstrosity of the crimes and victory’s hefty price.

Egypt’s interior minister has said that the Muslim Brotherhood is “purposefully causing a crisis,”

denying that the police opened fire on pro-Brotherhood protesters in overnight clashes that left scores dead.

Interior minister Mohamed Ibrahim said in a press conference on Saturday afternoon that the police “have never fired at a protester using live ammunition.”

Interior ministry spokesman Hani Abdel-Latif said in a televised statement earlier on Saturday that supporters of deposed president Mohamed Morsi moved in a march from their sit-in at Rabaa Al-Adawiya Mosque in Cairo’s Nasr City district to the nearby 6 October Bridge.

“They halted traffic, set tires on fire and clashed with residents of the nearby [working class] Mansheyet Nasr district using live fire and birdshots, and *this* killed 21 people,” Abdel-Latif said.  “The police moved to stop the clashes between the two groups and opened the road again.”

“The ministry asserts that its forces have not used anything more that teargas,” he said.

For the first time in history, federal health officials said Friday they will ban certain types of Medicare and Medicaid providers in three high-fraud cities from enrolling in the taxpayer-funded programs for the poor as part of an effort to prevent scams.

The strict moratoriums, which start Tuesday, give federal health officials unprecedented power to choose any region and industry with high fraud activity and ban *new* Medicare and Medicaid providers from joining the programs for six months.  They wouldn’t ban *existing* providers.

“There’s no shortage of bad actors to defraud the taxpayers, and *the number gets bigger all the time*, so it’s good to see the administration at last using this new tool to fight fraud,” [Senator Chuck] Grassley said in a statement.

Thousands of protesters chanting anti-government slogans joined a funeral march to lay to rest an assassinated Tunisian opposition politician, a display of the anger threatening the survival of a government *once* seen as a model in the region for the transition to democracy.

Mohammed Brahmi’s coffin was carried by soldiers to Jellaz cemetery and buried next to Chokri Belaid, a fellow politician who was killed in February.  Brahmi’s widow, five children and *the army chief of staff* accompanied the coffin on its route through the capital.

“Down with the party of the Brotherhood,” chanted mourners, referring to the ruling Ennahda Party’s affiliation with the regional Muslim Brotherhood religious [no, political] group.  “The people demand the fall of the [Muslim Brotherhood] regime.”

Speaking next to the grave, activist lawyer Nacer Laouini called on army chief of staff Gen. Mohamed Salah Hamdi to protect the people from the [fake] Islamists

“The head of the army is here, we ask the army to be on the side of the people as it always has been and protect Tunisians against Ennahda,” he said.

Protesters stormed the offices of Islamist-allied parties in Libya’s main cities on Saturday, angry at the assassination of an activist critical of the country’s Muslim Brotherhood group.

“We don’t want the [Muslim] Brotherhood, we want the army and the police,” Libyan protesters chanted, using a slogan also raised in Egypt.

Libya’s nascent security forces are struggling to control the country’s militias, most of whom have roots in *the rebel groups* that overthrew dictator Moammar Gadhafi in 2011.

Some protesters [in the capital Tripoli] stormed the headquarters of a [Muslim] Brotherhood-affiliated political party and another [fake] Islamist-allied party, destroying furniture.

Witnesses say a [Muslim] Brotherhood party office was also stormed in the eastern city of Benghazi.
