Syria Calls on Security Council to Condemn Jaramana terrorist explosion

Jul 25, 2013

Foreign and Expatriates Ministry on Thursday sent two identical letters to the UN Secretary General and President of the Security Council on the terrorist explosion which took place in Jaramana, Damascus countryside on July 25th, 2013.

“Terrorists of the Islamic State Organization in Iraq and Sham…perpetrated a new terrorist crime against a residential neighborhood which was crowded with people… a big explosion through a booby-trapped car at al-Siyouf square in Jaramana claimed the lives of 10 citizens and injuring 66 others, among them children, causing huge damage to the shops, houses and the cars in the area and its surroundings,” the two [identical] letters added.

The Foreign Ministry said “the Islamic State Organization in Iraq and Sham…has claimed responsibility for that crime which adds to a series of terrorist attacks…during the latest months in Syria which also claimed the lives of scores of Syrian civilians.

“Syria…calls on the Security Council to condemn this terrorist explosion, and *revive* its stance rejecting terrorism regardless of the place and time of the crime,” the Ministry said.

It urged the states [The World Tyrant/NATO] and [their puppet] sides which support the armed terrorist groups in Syria to stop supplying them with logistic and military aid.

The letters said that *when* the Security Council takes a clear stance in confronting such terrorist crimes, it sends a strong message to the crime perpetrators that the international community is united in the face of terrorism away from any double standard policy which could encourage those terrorists to go ahead in perpetrating their criminal attacks which go beyond limits.

“Claiming the responsibility for the terrorist crimes lately perpetrated in Syria and Iraq by the Islamic State Organization in Iraq and Sham has big indications that all should stand at [pay close attention to], due to their dangers which exceed the borders of states in targeting the civilians,” the Foreign Ministry added.

and Sham ?

“The group has changed its named several times since its formation.

The organization first emerged in early 2004 and called itself Jama’at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad (The Monotheism and Jihad Group) but

changed its name in October 2004 to Tanzim Qaidat al-Jihad fi Bilad al-Rafidayn, The Organization of Jihad’s Base in the Country of the Two Rivers (TQJBR)

Then in January 2006 the group merged with several smaller organizations and began calling itself Mujahideen Shura Council and

in October 2006 it chose the name Dawlat al-‘Iraq al-Islamiyya or Islamic State of Iraq.

In April 2013, the group changed its name to the “Islamic State of Iraq and *Syria*” to reflect its involvement in the Syrian civil war [The World Tyrant’s proxy war against the Syrian Arab Republic].”

Information Awareness Office / Components of TIA projects that continue to be developed

Despite the withdrawal of funding for the TIA [Total Information Awareness] and the closing of the IAO [Information Awareness Office], *the core of the project* survived.

Legislators included *a classified annex* to the Defense Appropriations Act that preserved funding for TIA’s component technologies, if they were transferred to other government agencies.

TIA projects continued to be funded under *classified annexes* to Defense *and* Intelligence appropriation bills.

However, the act also stipulated [it says here] that the technologies only be used for military or foreign intelligence purposes against foreigners.

TIA’s *two core projects* are now *operated* by Advanced Research and Development Activity (ARDA) located among the 60-odd buildings of “Crypto City” at NSA headquarters in Fort Meade, MD.

ARDA itself has been shifted from the NSA to the *Disruptive* Technology Office (run by the Director of National Intelligence).

They [the two *core projects*] are *funded* by National Foreign Intelligence Program for foreign counterterrorism intelligence purposes.

One technology, codenamed “Basketball” is the Information Awareness Prototype System, *the core architecture* to integrate all the TIA’s information extraction, analysis, and dissemination tools.

Work on this project is conducted by SAIC [Science Applications International Corporation, an American {World Tyrant} government contractor] through its former Hicks & Associates consulting arm run by former Defense and military officials and which had originally been awarded US$19 million IAO contract to build the prototype system in late 2002.

The other project has been re-designated “TopSail” (formerly Genoa II) and would provide IT tools to help anticipate [design and finance *false-flag* terrorist attacks] and preempt [such] terrorist attacks.

SAIC has also been contracted to work on Topsail, including a US$3.7 million contract in 2005.
