Jose Marti and the Answer to Today’s World Problems

By Waldo Mendiluza, Head of the National Editorial Department of Prensa Latina News Agency

Poet, journalist, diplomat, politician and universal thinker, Jose Marti expressed in his actions and his work the answers to major problems facing the planet today.

Studied by many, undervalued by some, the *independence* leader and Cuban national hero made in the second half of the nineteenth century [1850-1899] approaches to phenomena that today threaten the very survival of the human species.

160 years after Marti’s birth (born January 23, 1853 – died May 19, 1895) his thought remains in full force and provides answers that should be heeded,…[stated] the academic Hector Hernandez, vice president of the Marti Program Office in the Caribbean island[, Cuba].

In an interview with Prensa Latina, the expert said that the hero is “a must for those interested in solving serious problems in the world”, and perhaps “in finding solutions.”

Marti offers answers to questions such as the emergence of a more harmonious relationship between human beings and nature, subject on which he outlined pioneer ideas.

He was a supporter of public education, social justice and inclusion, peace among peoples and access to culture, and also an *enemy of racial discrimination.*

For [Hector] Hernandez, his [anti-]colonialist and [anti-]imperialist vision as well as his criteria about the balance of the world can not be…[dismissed].

Marti drew up a project of *continental* independence or emancipation, which included a *united Latin America*…[accomplishing] the containment of the imperialist threat represented [then] by the United States [now by The World Tyrant], he said.

Therefore, that facet of his life and work is..[the beginning] of integration activities existing in the region and they have brought forth process[es such] as the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) and more recently the Community of Latin America and Caribbean (CELAC).

The founders and developers of these blocs consider Marti, with Simon Bolivar, as an inspiration of initiatives.

According to Hernandez,…[Marti’s] origin from a [politically] Southern country is the only reason why his thought is not more studied by universities and other institutions on the planet.

Unfortunately, there is still a strong ethnocentric and Eurocentric trend, promoting ideas that are generated from the [political] North, ignoring the richness and heritage of spiritual and political thinkers as Marti, he said.

For his relevance, for his ideas of integration and his answers to today’s problems, our national hero must be located in a top place, said the professor, who is also vice president of the Organizing Committee of the Third Conference for World Equilibrium, [a] forum scheduled from January 28 to 30 in Havana.

Why not?

Statement of the National Executive Committee of the [tamed] ANC Youth League in South Africa

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the African National Congress Youth League (ANC Youth League) met in its first ordinary sitting for 2013 on the 26th to the 28th January 2013 at the St. George`s Hotel in Irene, Tshwane.

International Relations

Deliberations were robust on developments on the African continent with the National Executive Committee reflecting on upcoming elections in Zimbabwe, hoping that the people of Zimbabwe would go out in their numbers to defend the gains of their struggles recorded since independence.

The meeting expressed displeasure at the neo-colonial conquest of Mali by France and understood it to be yet another Western intervention carried out with *the intention to recolonize Africa*.

Such a view was further supported by a comparison of the West`s posture towards Syria where rebels are supported *against a democratically elected government*.

Our call *however* is for the President of Syria to not to kill his own people and the United Nations to pay urgent attention to the resolution of the conflict in Syria.

[ How weak can you get!  To call The World Tyrant’s fake-Muslim terrorists Assad’s “own people” is to right away  disgrace this *tamed* version of what was the militant

Irene (pronounced “eye-REE-nee”) is a small township south of Pretoria….

Irene was the site of one of the more than forty concentration camps where the British housed the Boer (Afrikaner) women and children, whose homes had been destroyed as part of the British Army’s ‘scorched earth’ [genocide] policy during the Second Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902).

More than 1,200 people, most of them children, died at the Irene Camp.

Today, the names of those who died here are memorialized at the Irene Concentration Camp Cemetery and Memorial.

The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality…(also known as the City of Tshwane) is a metropolitan municipality that forms the local government of northern Gauteng Province, South Africa and *includes* the city Pretoria.

President al-Assad: [Puppet] Israeli Aggression Reveals [Puppet] Israel’s Role in Destabilizing Syria

President Bashar al-Assad said that the [puppet] Israeli aggression on a scientific research center in Jamraya in Damascus countryside reveals [puppet] Israel’s role, *in collaboration with the hostile foreign powers [The World Tyrant/NATO] and their tools [fake-Muslim takfiri terrorists] in Syria*, to destabilize and weaken Syria so as to force it to give up its national and Pan-Arab stances and principles.

Receiving Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National *Security Council*, Saeed Jalili on Sunday, President al-Assad stressed that Syria is capable of confronting current challenges and repelling any aggression targeting the Syrian people and their historic and cultural role, thanks to

the awareness of the Syrians,

the might of the Syrian army and

Syria’s adherence to the path of resistance.

Jalili expressed trust in the wisdom of the Syrian leadership in dealing with the aggression that targets Syria’s pioneering role, stressing

Iran’s full support to the Syrian people in confronting the [puppet] Zionist entity and

its keenness on continuing coordination with Syria for confronting external conspiracies and schemes that aim to destabilize the region.

Jalili conveyed Iran’s appreciation for the political solution plan for solving the crisis announced by President al-Assad and the Syrian government’s steps to implement it, reiterating Tehran’s readiness to offer all help needed for making the national dialogue a success as it is the only way out of the crisis.

The two sides also discussed the outstanding cooperation relations between Syria and Iran and the two leaderships’ mutual keenness on further enhancing them in all fields.

The meeting discussed the situation in the region in general and Syria in particular,

especially in the aftermath of the blatant [puppet] Israeli aggression on Jamraya scientific center in Damascus Countryside.

In a relevant context, [Syrian Arab Republic] Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Walid al-Moallem held a meeting with Jalili, in which al-Moallem stressed that the [puppet] Israeli aggression on Syria proves its direct complicity with the armed terrorist groups to destroy the infrastructure and sabotage development centers in Syria.

He added that the *consistency of roles* between [puppet] Israel and these [fake-Muslim takfiri]  terrorist groups stresses [puppet] Israel’s hostility and *violation of the rules of the international law*.

In turn, Jalili condemned the [puppet] Israeli raid on Syria, considering it as a proof…[of puppet] Israel’s aggressive nature and its being a threat to the security and stability in the region.

[SAR] Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad,

Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Ahmad Arnous,

Director of Asia Department at the Ministry,

the Iranian Ambassador in Damascus and

the delegation accompanying Jalili

attended the meeting.

Analysis: Economy, military shape US [World Tyrant] Iran strategy

[World Tyrant] President Barack Obama may have to decide this year whether to use military force to fulfill his vow to prevent Iran from being able to build nuclear weapons, foreign policy experts say.

But America’s [The World Tyrant’s] economic and military realities argue *intensely against* attacking the Islamic republic and for muddling through by, perhaps, further tightening sanctions that have cut deeply into Tehran’s economy.

Americans [World Tyrant ubermenschen] are weary of war after *more* than a decade of military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The U.S. [World Tyrant] economy, while recovering from the Great Recession, still is weak.  The military could face deep cuts this year as [the Coward] Congress considers massive reductions in government spending.

What’s more, Iran is *far stronger militarily* than either Iraq or Afghanistan and would undoubtedly strike back by hitting [puppet] Israel and attacking U.S. [World Tyrant] soldiers in neighboring Afghanistan [and hitting a whole bunch of World Tyrant bases in West Asia].

Also, Iran has put much of its [for now, peaceful] nuclear program deep under ground, making it uncertain how much damage could be done by American airstrikes.

[ There’s more ! ]
